Just remember - like any group, dyslexics cannot be painted with a broad brush. While there are many examples of very gifted artists, actors, scientists with dyslexia, not all dyslexics excel in these areas. My son is super dyslexic - very very hard to remediate. No question he has dyslexia with a capital D. That said, he is very very verbal. While his visual spatial abilities (in some sense) are strong, he would not reconsidered right brain dominant.

He is as Overcoming Dyslexia describes - poor at the lower levels of language processing and gifted at the higher levels. He thinks in word and excels in the humanities.

Appreciate your kind words very much! I prayed for the answers and God answered my prayers. So, happy Info. was helpful! Good to hear DS is sleeping and eating better. He is very lucky to have mom that is so involved and supportive! Google, Hoagies gifted, and search Dr. Linda Silverman, visual spacial, and it will provide amazing information on how to support your DS. Wishing you the very best! TMI GMA
