I was wanting to learn Art history and Elementary Art Teacher elements, (like ARt terms and techniques), in the Car with a CD. Anybody have a suggestion? I have not been able to find anything.

Wouldn't you be very suspicious of such a thing, if it did exist? It seems like a terrible medium from which to learn art-related things, because of the lack of a visual aspect.

I don't know of any CD for such things BUT if you happen to have an IPod or IPhone you might find something under the university broadcasts or even under the general applications. I'm going to look and see if it's possible.

I did take a quick look and there are a few possibilities. Under applications there is an art history one which includes terms and categories. There is also a drawing term application. Both are from the same company and have duplication.
There is also some iTuneU broadcasts under art. I don't know how much terminology they offer but might be good reference for understanding as you familiarize yourself with the terminology.
But if you do find yourself fully interested in it, the best thing is to locate some books and/or DVDs on the subject or visit some museums.

I get what your saying. Art should be taught visually. I know I need to see art too and this would be supplemental. I'm just looking to learn more Art history. I have 35 minutes 2 times a day in the Car. I am transporting my kids to school and I want to make use of my time. Hopefully in the future I could get a DVD player and then just listen to programs in the car.

Thank you, I am also trying to watch some art history before I go to bed and your suggestions maybe helpful. I will try to order these from the library.
