DS7 has been in his new school program as a 6/7th grader for 2 full weeks. Today we had a meeting with everyone connected to him, teachers, principal, counselor, etc.

The general concensus is that it is going great! Everyone had really good things to say and very little on the negative side. DS love it and looks forward to school everyday, so....YAY!!

That's great, Shari! That is amazing that you have found the whole team to be on board with such a big jump. Hopefully you're paving the way for others like him!!

Yea! That's so good to hear! When you described it before it sounded like a great opportunity for your DS, so it's so great to hear that everyone involved is seeing that this is successful for him. What more can you hope for than to say, "DS loves it and looks forward to school everyday!"

She thought she could, so she did.

Great stuff, Shari! It's a dream situtation that we all wish for our kids. Congratulations to both of you!

It has been fabulous so far.... Yesterday, I met with the board of directors. They hadn't been told about our little "experiment". The Vice-Chair made the comment "it seems to me that your little guy proves that our school is a success, a place for children that are passionate about math and science". He is the head of the science dept at UNM.

I haven't met anyone yet that isn't on board, fingers are still crossed but i'm actually beginning to believe that this will work!

Okay, I'm a little hyper-emotional right now, but this just made me so very happy. I'm ready to move to NM!
