    Hi All,

I finally have standard scores from both tests DD 10 took 2 weeks back. I am awaiting a complete written report from the tester.

Here are the numbers. I do not know what they mean at this point frown

    WJ Broad Reading 138
    Broad Written Language 146
    Broad Mathematics 155

    FSIQ 130
    NVIQ 126
    VIQ 131
    GT Index 133

    FR 132
    KN 120
    QR 125
    VS 135
    WM 117

I think based on IQ, She doesnot qualify for DYS program.

    1) Is it worth applying or do I wait and retake a different IQ test?

    2) I checked with Davidson's and I was told its ok to apply with one test score, but, they need a portfolio of work samples, which I think I can manage (with some difficulty though smile )

We think the family consultant services DYS offers would be extremely valuable for us.

Are her WJ-III scores good to be considered? I am so new to all this and totally lost.

    THnaks for any any pointers.

Dottie, Thanks for chiming in !

Thanks for remembering my other post !!! Actually, I had the scores for few days now .. but, was waiting for you to get back from vacation smile. You are called "resident scoring expert" for a reason.

Our Tester first used WISC, but then switched to SB5 after some "inconsistent" results. When I asked for standard scores, she only provided SB5.
I will ask her about WISC when I meet her for final report. But, she did say DD will not qualify on IQ scores. But, her Ach scores are extrememly strong for DYS consideration.

I am still in a limbo whether to have DD take IQ test again OR apply anyway, since DYS will consider Just achievement + Portfolio.

I may have more clarity when I get final report - but, wanted to run it by wonderful people on the forum anyway. Your advice and suggestions have always been valuable to us!

    Thanks
