Wondering if anyone is or has used this for math? It was created by Carnegie-Mellon University. My DS has been using ALEKs for the past 6 months and the speed with which he moves through it makes me wonder if he's actually learning anything. So I went looking for something more comprehensive and came across this. One thing that I like is that although it is software based, it comes with a text and workbook as well. This would be good for DS as he would be forced to show his work.

We haven't, but I'd be interested to hear a report if you do try it or if anyone else has. FWIW, have just signed DS6 up for Alcumus (Art of Problem Solving's new, currently free, online programme for counting, probability and algebra), which we like so far. I'm just a little bit wary of the Carnegie website's emphasis on maths for all, etc., suggesting that it might be comparatively slow paced.
