We just had a meeting with our 6yo's 1st grade teacher who said he will be in the G/T group next year. She made an offhand remark that "he scored a 1 on the Raven's, so he doesn't even need to do the rest of the testing". We'd anticipated he'd be in the G/T group, but so far we haven't seen the official results of the Raven's Matrices, and I can't for the life of me figure out what that comment meant regarding the scoring of it (if anything)after looking at some of the official Raven's info. The school sent the CoGAT scores home and he was in the 99th percentile overall on that. Anyone know what that comment means? Thanks
