I'm still figuring out the user interface, but the one thing that is driving me the craziest:

Ever since I registered, I've got a stupid blinking envelope showing up in the menu bar (where it shows Forum List, My Stuff, User List, etc.). I feel like someone is poking me in the eye! Is there any way to get rid of it? Or make it stop blinking?

under my stuff, see messages. after you read your messages the envelope goes away. There have been some exceptions here that the envelope just keeps blinking without new messages. Send Mark a message if that happens and maybe he can fix it. There is a link below to Mark.

As onthegomom says, PM Mark, he can fix it - however, I did just send you a PM, so for the moment you genuinely have one, and can read it by choosing Messages from My Stuff. It's supposed to flash only when you have a new message.

For those who haven't heard from Mark -- it's supposed to stop blinking after a second login. But I found that I had to restart my computer. That did the trick. (It's a problem with cookies.)
