I work in Birmingham and two different women at work have told me how happy they have been with the school for their children. One woman had a PG son there (who didn't grade skip). He went to Indian Springs after doing Montesori through 8th grade.

Another woman with gifted children had three daughters (I think) who went there, including one who will graduate in the next year or two.

I have long been under the assumption that if I had to move to the city with Snoopy and Barbie, that we would have to send them to Indian Springs to make things work.

Why are you looking at Alabama schools?

What's not to like about a student-directed video montage with knightings, Southern Belles, a rocket launch, and a banjo riff broken up by a drunken golfer on a golf cart??

    Very cool!

Looking through the curriculum it looks very strong with the exception of the Environmental Science. I would have expected to see an emphasis on mathematical understanding of ecological concepts. The school certainly has a very broad AP focus. Most of the Alumni have achieved in business and liberal arts - I see no pure science. Gorgeous campus.
