Well as I get ready to begin homeschooling soon I randomly kept the kids home on Friday. Due to a post elsewhere on this site re: Sudbury Valley schools I decided to see what the kids might want to do instead of what I might choose....the results...make pie, computer games, a hike, practice my reading (dd7) and learn a real programming language (ds8, and we downloaded Python and got started!)and finally a whole family game of Rummy. No arguments, no fighting and everyone happy and engaged all day.

I really am getting excited about the whole Sudbury Valley school philosophy and wish I lived closer to an existing school. Has anyone out there had any experiences with any of these schools?

Sounds like a great day! No info about Sudbury though.
