I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some really good textbooks/curriculum for science. My son is very interested in Chemistry however, he doesn't have algebra down to actually do a high school chemistry textbook. Also, in ideas good ideas on junior high science or general science on a junior/high school level for a gifted 8 year old that love science? My son should be ready for high school basic science course starting next year so I would love to give him a good start now through the Summer.

Several people have recommended the CPO Physical Science series. I recently purchased the student text, investigations book, and teacher's manual. We haven't used it but I like what I see.
