Hi, My 4 year old is super bright and probably highly gifted as our my other children. He is obsessed with computer games/video games.

I've tried to get him to play on Starfall.com and he complains it's "babyish...." He found lego.com thanks to big brother and will only play those types of "cool" games..... He can sound out simple words and LOVES numbers. I need something more educational because this constant screen play on nonsense sites seems so wastful.

Anyone have suggestions on websites that would not look so "young" but yet have content/learning games that suit the K/1st grade level.

    Thanks!!

I'm truly not trying to plug my website and I'm not making any $ off of these links (given that they are free), but I do have a bunch of free educational site links here: http://www.galileoeducation.org/links.html It seems more expedient to just give you the whole list this way than to post them one by one!

I do have the funbrain math arcade in there, but you might want to try funbrain's main page which has some other games as well: http://www.funbrain.com/

My kids both enjoy pbskids.com not sure if there'd be anything there that would interest him or not.

For pay sites my 4 yr old likes www.readingeggs.com and www.ixl.com

My DD 4.5 really enjoys Reading Eggs . It was a good leap after Starfall. It offers a free trial, but I think that it is worth the money.
