Most of the reason for my denial is that DD doesn't do "party tricks" or have any issues or LD, so at times I actually question if she is gifted.

I was just experiencing this. (again) My DC doesn't do party tricks either and no LD so sometimes it is really hard to tell. (I suppose, but someone who knows what to look for, would know). Sigh.

So yes, it scares me many times a day and I think it will for the rest of my life. LOL

We are experiecing DC's frustrations when speaking with us. We're too slow. Not answering fast enough, not complete enough, not exactly what she was looking for. Always worse when DC is tired or hungry.

Let us know what you figure out about how to handle this. I would certianly praise your DD when you see the frustration building up but she is keeping her behavior approprate for her 'strong self control.'
