The psychologist that I spoke to is offering the WJ III as a supplement to a standard IQ battery and report. We are only testing to see if we qualify for DYS and similar programs, DS is homeschooled, so we are not testing to advocate for him in school. Do we need the "other bits" (for lack of a better expression) or is the WJ III enough by itself?

    TIA!

We did WISC-IV plus WJ-III for our 6 year old and found it a very good combination. Since no issues were apparent from those two, they were good enough to give us a good picture of where she was at; and allowed us to apply to DYS.

Ohh, I see. I was confused when he said that the WJ III was a supplement and wanted to make sure we are not going to pay for parts that we don't need. Thanks that's a huge help!

Dottie, thanks, now it makes more sense. I had always thought of the WJ III as the whole kit and caboodle, now I know why I had that impression.

I'm going to email and ask him right now. Thanks again!
