My son has been playing with SCRATCH and enjoying it. Does anyone have ideas for encouraging more with this. Are their any guides available? Any ideas? This is all new to me.

My dd7 made herself a multiplication quiz with scratch last week. If you get 10 right, the sprite does a dance...

I agree the kids get more out of using the program if they define a goal ahead of time.
