I don't know if this will help, but when my dd took the wppsi at age 3y5m, she was given only 3 of the 4 subtests.

    Receptive Vocabulary - 18
    Information - 19
    Picture Naming - 18

That gave her a verbal iq of 147. Not quite DYS numbers. That's one of the reasons we're thinking of retesting her at 6yo on the WISC.

    hi leigh
sorry about sending you off to check your scores and subtests. I was thrown by the "extra" test and thought something was really off. i didn't realize similarities was an optional one. it makes sense now!

Thank you all for your responses - this is very helpful! DD's school re-tests in 3rd grade, so I'm anxious to see what we learn then. This information gives me the "ballpark" I was hoping for. There is a gifted summer camp at W&M that we're considering and now I think I'll go ahead and apply.

I am glad to have found this board. We deal with many of the issues I've read about here - anxiety, over-sensitivities, boredom with schoolwork, etc. I know this board will be a valuable resource!

    Thanks again for the feedback!

If you don't have YSP qualifying scores now, perhaps you will then. So glad to hear that you love your school!
