Now, I'm worried that I am creeping people out. I often hit check who's online details when I'm trying to decide whether to leave the computer and go do something useful, but sense there might be a great post on the way. I'll look to see if someone looks like they are writing something. If it's pretty quiet, I leave, but forget to close the page. I just realized that on that screen, my browser refreshes every minute. So it looks like I'm checking in on everyone every minute (and that would seem creepy). But I'm actually off buying groceries or doing laundry or even at work for 10 hours (with my browser refreshing every minute!) Yikes, I'm sure I look like a stalker! Sorry!

I wish I had a clock like Mrs. Weasley's from Harry Potter, that had hands that said who was where. I leave the page open, but I'm usually not infront of the computer. I try to be done by 9:30 pm EST, but feel that I'm missing the best parts! Sleep must come first. BTW, I'll be traveling, and AWK (away from keyboard) from Christmas until New Years. ((shake))

OT note: When I taught school, I wrote AWK in the margin to denote an awkward bit of phrasing. I don't think that suits Grinity! She's never AWK!

Dottie - someone's going to have to step up to the plate while Grinity's on the road. I think you're an excellent candidate! We don't want the board to come to a screeching halt. Go Dottie Go!

Just wanted to say happy holidays and thank you to everyone posting here. I've learned a lot in a few short weeks, and have been on the boards all too often. I'd better get some work done, but it's fascinating reading. And, reassuring. I had no clue that our DS' intensity and sensitivity, remembered slights by peers, intense worry about all sorts of risks, could all be "normal" in a certain group of kids. Where we are, things are so different. I never hear about parents trying to accelerate their kids - they try to "red-shirt" them instead - giving them a practice year of preschool before they start preschool, and then holding them back from kindergarten until 6. (I think this is more to make the soccer team than the honor roll.) I am so jealous of all of you who were able to identify and individualize things for your children at a young age.
Thanks for sharing, and all the best in the New Year,
(Invisible) Questions

If a Question is invisible on a forum, can anyone hear it being asked? All the best for the coming new year!
