blush Anybody care to double-check my answer on the following problem? I don't care for word problems, especially when you have to explain your work - so I want to be sure I'm correct before I help DS9.

The top part of a sculpture has 1 cube, the second part has 8 cubes, the third part has 27 cubes and the fourth part has 64 cubes. If the parts keep increasing in the same way, how many cubes are in the sixth and bottom part of the sculpture?

    216, right?

Yes. The nth layer of the statue has n^3 (n cubed) squares.
