Neither DH or I were IDed GT (even though now it's obvious we are), so we weren't on GT alert until DS starting complaining day and night about school.
Same here - Except for the 'thank goodness for the in school screening part' anyway, I never remember DS's milestones, I'm terrible with dates!
I do remember a very nervous looking daycare teacher saying that DS could identify and make the sounds of each letter on the alphabet puzzle. Was it age 2? age3? I've tryed to figure it out, but not matter, he wasn't reading until 1st grade! Those were some weird years for me - waiting, waiting, worried and the whole rest of the world seemed to think I was crazy to think it was weird.
((shrugs and more shrugs))

Bottom line: If it works for you, the Ruf levels are great for helping to break through denial, and stay organized for tracking the milestones. If it doesn't work for your child or your family, it doesn't mean that they aren't gifted or even PG.
