Chatting to my Mom today, she reminded me of Family Quiz when I was a kid. From school, the oldest elementary classes, would set the questions for Family Quiz handed out on Fridays. My Mom remembers crazy stuff like 'what is the instrument that bakers use to pull the loaves out of an oven called ?'. Apparently, (of course this was before the internet, the families would all be phoning around helping one another, trying to come up with the answers my Monday). It made me wonder if I should suggest the idea to my kids school ( a GT Magnet) -maybe with more brain teasers than fact based stuff - what do you think?

Sounds like fun! I like the 'fun facts' idea too. And what is that paddle-ly thing bakers use called?

We do Isaac Asimov's super quiz at the dinner table every night. I was so proud of DS--when the question was "who said, 'Eureka!' " he shouted, "Archimedes!" smile
