It has been a long time since I have read Dr. Ruf's levels. I know that my son wasn't in the top level but the 2 levels below that he fits in with her description.

Wow - that's very reasonable in price, and it sounds like the tester has a good match for your son and your needs.

Remember that, by my estimation, most Davidson YSP kids, who are all 'profoundly gifted' are level 3 by Ruf's book. So matching the 3rd and 4th levels is a picuture of a very unusually gifted young person. Unusual enough that even schools that are used to 'gifted' kids may be in over their head with a level 3 or 4 kid.

Another person from TX? If so, I'm glad to have another Texan on here. smile
And I'm glad the testing experience went well.

Really? Most DYS-kids are level 3? HHmm I'll have to rethink DS9 if so. I never know who to determine level....50% of the qualities listed? 75? 95%

Well, it has been 2 weeks since ds was tested. I emailed the tester and she said she had finished it and would mail it on Monday. We should receive it by Wednesday. I am cross my fingers that he gets the scores needed for DYS but even if he doesn't I will still be proud of whatever score he gets. I am happy I have found this forum.

The waiting is awful, isn't it? I'm certainly not "gifted" in patience. smile
