The meeting went good. DS9 was administered the RIAS,Torrance Test of Creative Thinking,Charac. Checklist for Superior Student and parent checklist. For the RIAS DS9 scored above average range SS=114,verbal intellectual ability scored above average range SS=113,nonverbal intelligence index SS=113. Percentile score 99 and Standard score 140.

Summary of the evaluation states. DS9 intellectual ability reveals that his measured abilities fall within the above average range. His reading achievement scores are above average and his creativity scores are significantly above average. It is recommended that this and all other pertinent information be considered in planning for DS9 success in his education.

DS9 Torrance Test of Creative Thinking percentile score is in the significantly above average range, and his achievement test scores in the reading area fell in the upper average range as well.

DS9 will be placed in the Gifted. This is so much to swallow.

    Thank you!
You know...while reading many postings. I was wondering why so many different tests was being administered. I thought maybe I was on the wrong web-site confused. Everytime I read a posting I wasn't sure if ds9 was even on the same level as these kids are whistle. I couldn't understand why he wasn't administered the same evaluations as the others. (at least the common one) But.. as I kept reading I found out that it is many different kinds of tests that can be administered shocked. I guess it depends on your district? or state?.
By the way, you can tell I am new to this process. LOL crazy
