Hi, I am new to this forum.
I am going to edit out my question, since I had 177 views and only one person replied (and one by PM).
My reasons for retesting was not for DYS, and I now see that the purpose of this forum is for profoundly gifted children, not those of us aspiring to 130 for school gifted programs.

I'd consider having her take the WISC-IV with someone who has experience with gifted children. Since it's a different IQ test, I don't think you'd have to wait. The 141 for Reading Fluency and 140 for Applied Problems seem to indicate some pretty strong "g." This Hoagies link is a good place to start: http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/psychologists.htm

Welcome Treasuremapper - I know I didn't answer b/c I'm not qualified to interpret WJ scores...I leave those to Dottie lol. My DS is not DYS and I've been welcomed here wholeheartedly. I think you posted on an odd day.

yes stay around! my son is not profoundly gifted or even highly gifted and i started a thread on the twice exceptional board that is now SEVEN PAGES long. Best information i have ever gotten...for free!

Thanks for mentioning that Renie1, it is all for free!! There is such a wealth of knowledge on this forum that it's easy to forget that some of the more experienced posters are super busy moms, just like us!!!
Please don't take it personally if at first you don't find the info you are looking for. I've noticed a huge influx in the last few months of people looking for info and asking questions.
I know the very experienced posters definitely try to help out as much as they can!!

Heck no, gifted is the discussion topic, whatever numbers you are talking - really my ds is testing lowish, below 130 and people still tolerate me hanging around  . He just has lots of the behaviors and issues associated with gifted kids of all kinds and I need to learn more. And boy am I learning loads.

Keep in mind many of us are recovering perfectionists. If we're not sure of our answer we tend not to post, rather than be wrong.  Your question was bit of a stumper with the high number of uninterpretable scores. I hope you'll stay and keep us updated. We're all learning together as we go along!
