I'm not sure how accurately the WAIS subtest of picture arrangement measures one's social awareness, but, just to satisfy my own curiousity, would one expect an individual with Aspergers to score lower on this subtest, than the average person?

Why is social awareness important enough to be placed on an intelligence test?

I don't know, there is a social part in the Wisc, too. Comprehension I think; I was surprised it was there.

I wonderd about that too. I was told that yes, kids with Asperger's as a general rule might score lower on this subtest. However, not all and more highly gifted kids may know enough to work around it. Our child has Asperger's and was at the maximum score of that subtest.
