Does anybody has any experience with this series of language arts textbooks?

This is one of the few textbooks that's recommended on Hoagies for gifted children 3rd grade and up.

I have seen it and like it. Because I used to teach college lit and comp, I haven't felt like I needed any LA curriculum. But if I wanted one, this would be the first place I'd look.

There's an e-mail list--MCTLA is what pops up on my e-mail. You might google it, or did someone post something about it here? Not sure...

I subscribed to that even though I don't use the materials just to see if I was missing anything great. I just lurk, and I've been considering unsubscribing, but it might be good for you to subscribe and see lurk, or even post to ask people what's good and/or bad about the curriculum.

The curriculum gets lots of positive feedback on different gt lists.

I have no personal experience with it yet. After reading so much about it I finally gave in an ordered it for the next school year.

    LMom,

Did you read it in the yahoo group or somewhere else?

Thanks for the heads up on the yahoo group. This is another curriculum we are looking at for next year! Here's the link if anyone else is looking for it.

I don't know anything about the series, but he is giving a presentation on Tuesday April 14th at 6pm in Colorado Springs entitled: Knowledge Required: Why Rigorous Content.
It is being sponsored by the Colorado Gifted Education, Pikes Peak and Southeast Regions organizations.
I know most of oyu are not in this area, but I thought it was interesting that I just got the notice yesterday from DD's teacher and was unfamiliar with the name, and here it was.
