    Maybe somebody miscounted?

FWIW, I think I tried to order that same book on Monday and it was sold out.

I could be wrong, it could have been something similar but not the same. But I remember it because we've been pretty weak on history/soc. studies this year (heavy on science), and a lot of what I really wanted from the sale was stuff to help catch us up.

I have often ordered by Internet from various companies (not Scholastic) and had something wind up being out of stock and canceled very late in the process. I suspect that's all this is. (At least I hope so!)

I had 4 items canceled. I got the call this morning to verify my homeschool and then 5 minutes later an email that they had canceled some of the stuff. I was annoyed enough that I called, they didn't know why they had been canceled. I think they held my order before they verified my homeschool and when they placed it those were out of stock. Which would have been fine, except that I placed my order at 9am Friday morning and at least one of the books was still listed in stock as of yesterday morning. They offered me bonus points for their book club, but I didn't want free stuff, I wanted my books, lol. Oh well, it was still a good deal for the other books.

Looking at their book clubs, they are *really* good deals. They have Magic Tree House and Magic School Bus books for $2 each, free shipping!

That would make sense. At least I don't have to feel bad about not being able to get through on Friday and not getting the other 3 items I wanted.

I hope they marked us as homeschoolers in their system and there will be no more future phone calls and our orders get processed immediately.

Kriston, you didn't have any problems or received any phone calls, right?

I think you have to have a school number, like an id assigned to your account, which is your e-mail log in. I'd call back and see if you are thinking of ordering for the next sale.

DD6 loves those Magic School Bus chapter books. I think they are pretty cool too! She's so nice to read them to me! grin

    I didn't get a call or have trouble...yet! eek

I did list on the e-form the name of our "school," so maybe that got me under the radar, even though I did check "homeschooler."

Or maybe they just haven't gotten to the Monday orders yet... frown

No, I think you are good. The WW of the W had told me I would have to put the order under the school at first. I actually thought she was heckling me, like, I had to *ask* the school if I could do it....... blush

    misunderstandings............

Personal information alert****not relevant unless you know off list:

Obviously it was bad timing to suggest that I ask the school for anything I decide to do! LOL

FWIW, I put in my school name and grades I teach when I ordered. They called to verify the information I had given them was correct.

The supervisor I spoke with after they canceled part of my order also mentioned the "federal regulations" for selling to homeschoolers. I had to bite my tongue to keep for asking her for those statute references. She also said I could only join their book clubs if I was a "legitimate homeschool". I almost lost it with her, but I figured that letting homeschoolers have the good teacher discounts made it worth it to keep my mouth shut (I guess I have a price and it's $2 Magic School Bus books, lmao).
