Thanks Dottie, actually that makes me wonder if he really did get stuck, the percentile would be pretty low for his regular grade at that rate! At least in comparison to how he did on his k-bit last year, and if I am understanding you...

    Chris,

I expect he could still take language courses at EPGY. You might want to look into it if he's really that disappointed. They're different, though. Not writing so much as grammar. But there are also reading comprehension questions on a decent list of books in the separate (but included) RWL course.

Thanks again Dottie, that's a lot of interesting information. You're right, I am trying not to read too much into it...your statement about fall v. spring makes me wonder more seriously about him having another go.
Thanks questions, I will take a gander at the EPGY stuff too!

his raw score 40/50 verbal and 41/50 math

yeah, I just looked at the financial aid app though and you can only get financial aid for one 3 month class per fiscal year..... so I guess we'll havee to pick the class out and hope for the best,

we'll have to scrap up enough cash for the deposit to apply for financial aid... looks like $180 for language arts or $230 for math and science.
