It just came out - It's about raising a gifted child.

Wondering if there are any opinions on it? I really like Prufrock Press and have quite a few things from them.

I guess not. I have a few books on raising gifted kids but thought about purchasing this one. The author has a blog on gifted children on prufrockpress.com. I had hoped someone had screened it already and had an opinion.

No, sorry. At the end of the year last year, they had many titles on sale for $1-2. You might wait until then and see if it's one of them.

I do get occasional review copies from Prufrock, but they haven't sent me this one. I wasn't actually aware of the book until I saw this thread. Is anyone familiar with her blog? I'm not much of a blog reader (sucks up too much time) but I am interested in knowing more about this one.

I checked out the blog, and there were lots of great afterschooling resources. I read the introduction and it gave a detailed story about how no one agrees what the term gifted means and a reccomendation to describe your child in specifics rather than the label, which is quite reasonable.

I did read that the book is 'chock full' of resources for gifted kids.
