Hi, I have a pre-K daughter that I am trying to determine whether to enroll in Kindergarten.

Someone asked me who her WC-IV ach. test was normed against,

Since she is young, do they even have a norming group for children her age or was it normed against older or school age peers?

I do understand the WPPSI was normed against children her age, I just don't know about achievements tests as they aren't expected to read at that age as often.

The WJ-IV has age norms beginning from age 2 through 90+. So she will be compared against a nationally-representative group of her age peers. However, she will not have scores in every test or composite possible, and many of the scores she can obtain will be less reliable, for the reason you mention (that very few children her age are reading, writing, calculating, etc.).
