    Oh no!! No wonder she couldn't play well. I wish her all the best on her musical endeavors! I've always had a special place in my heart for music, too. smile

    Keep this memory as a reminder to not doubt her talent, perhaps? I know from personal experience the agony and self-doubt that comes from being constantly expected to perform at a level far below your actual potential. One of the greatest gifts you can give your daughter is to truly believe in her—even when no one else would.

    I'm glad to hear it's fixed now!! Wooo!!! Hurray!!!

    That will do it. I hope this makes her less frustrated. We have had problems where it was the instrument's fault before. It's one of the reasons I take DS to private lessons. The instructor has a much better idea when something is wrong with the instrument than I and the band director doesn't have the time to notice.
