DS8's teacher wants to try letting him work out of a life sciences textbook for reading comprehension/writing/science enrichment. I understand that might sound a little goofy.
Basically he's complaining that the work is boring. She wants to lure him into writing more by making it relate back to topics he finds interesting.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking of the type of textbooks I had in junior high where there's a chapter that you read and then answer questions at the end.
His reading level is probably high school level (remediated dyslexic) but his writing is probably grade level (dysgraphia).
