I see, well this report will be interesting. The test/tests went something like this: vocabulary (naming pictures), symbol sentences, puzzles, tape recorded phonetic sounds, verbal comparisons of shapes/colors/sizes, matching numbers, listening to numbers and then saying them backwards, and then copying.

That sounds like a sampling from each of verbal, nonverbal, spatial, and working memory, and the school readiness diagnostic composite, at the preschool level (I surmise this because from what you describe, three of the subtests are usually given only to preschoolers). Plus some kind of rebus learning task that may have come from elsewhere. And, of course, there may have been other subtests that blended in with the rest.

You know, I think we may have to wait for the report, as it can be difficult to reconstruct all the tasks from memory!

I agree about aeh being a gem! smile

You probably already know this, but I believe that your DC has to be at least 5-years-old before you can apply to DYS.

    Best wishes!

Thank you Loy58! Yes I do know that, I think you can use results that are no more than two years old so he could qualify once I see the subtests.
