Many thanks aeh! I probably would have googled forever thinking I just somehow wasn't looking in the right places. Clearly these materials are not mainstream like in English, where there are so many options to choose from.

P.S. Four lessons in to All About Reading - so far so good, fingers crossed...

I was a little worried about going back to K and engaging in repetitious drill - not a strong suit with these kids. crazy But in case it's of help to others in the situation, I thought I would report that I have been saved by a whiteboard, not to mention Percy Jackson. Who knew?

She's Queen of the Classroom, standing at the board with her pointer, magnets and markers, teaching me how to read grin. A guaranteed bout of imaginary play with Mommy every night, in lieu of her regular homework? Oh yeah. (Needless to say, we're not moving very quickly through the material - if she has ten new cards with three-letter words on them, she has to draw a picture for each one to "help me understand it" - and usually incorporates some kind of pun into her picture along with the atrocious spelling...).

With a new diagnosis of dyslexia and ADHD, we call it Reading for Demi-Gods, and she is, quite frankly, rather impressed with herself. Her speculations as to who is her godly parent, have, however, precipitated some interesting discussion among DH and I...
