DS7 is in another expansion. He is ready for microeconomics (Alg level math - not Calculus). I am at a loss for a curriculum. If anyone has a recommendation for middle school/ high school level, I would love to hear it. If not, my backup plan is to go to our local university to see what they are using for intro to microeconomics.

    Thanks!

This full pdf text is quite good. I taught a second year series micro course using an older edition of this text. Your son will be able to skim through much of the material. Most first and second year university micro is accessible to a bright high school audience and can be taught without calculus. I'm confident you son will be able to manage this material.

An added bonus is that Varian's graduate level book is excellent--proof based, devoid of flashy graphics, concise.

I like the Varian's book - looks like a very clear, easy-to-read, presentation, 1-2 bolded words (new terms) per page, good diagrams. "Equilibrium", "discriminating monopolist", "rent control", etc., in the first few pages. (Thank you for the reference - I would not have found this book myself, among many other books.)

I'm delighted to hear he's enjoying it so much! If you ever would like me to put together an activity for him, or if he needs an opportunity to delve into the topics with someone in the field, you know where to find me. smile
