DD6's birthday is three weeks past the grade cut-off, putting her in grade 1 this year, in spite of our best efforts to skip her into grade 2. I'd like her to take an above level test so that I will have that data for my next acceleration attempt. I was thinking about SCAT, but the CTY site shows it as starting at grade 2, and EXPLORE is being replaced by Aspire, about which I know nothing. Does anyone have suggestions for an above level test, or information about Aspire? I'd rather not haul her back to our tester if I can find a suitable test she can do independently.

If you want to do it yourself, you could look into using the online NWEA MAP that's for homeschoolers.

EXPOLRE is still here through talent search but it is 8th grade level test.

There are plenty of grade level tests for private schools and home schools. Best course of action is to ask the school and school distrcit what test they would recommend.

    Here's more info for Aspire...

If you think the EXPLORE test is too advanced both the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and the Stanford Achievement Test would allow you to test at lower grade levels.
