So DS5 finished the SBV today. The psychology wants to also do an achievement test next week (WJ I think) because "SBV is not going to truly show his abilities." And then it'll be another couple of weeks until we meet 1:1 to talk about the results and what we can do and whatnot.

Argh. Darn those diligent psychologists. Can't we at least get a hint???

The WJ will be helpful though and hopefully worth the wait.

I think they are trying hard to be objective--which I do appreciate. After all, what I'm paying the big bucks for is their well-informed, objective opinion. It is hard to wait, though!

One of the best things about the tester we used for the WISC was that she told us basic results IMMEDIATELY. "He got DYS-level scores in the PRI, though not in the VCI," she said, before DS7 had even left the testing room.

It was so nice to not have to wait! Obviously it took another month to get her full report, but so what? Once I knew the basic "yes or no," I could be very, very patient! No problem! laugh

I recommend her to everyone now--even Hoagies! She's fantastic!

JB dad. That is annoying. Why couldn't he give you the results, and then suggest further testing.

    Cathy,

There is no reason why the psychologist cannot share the results.

I got my daughters' scores before we left and the full report within a couple of days. It is not that difficult to score!!

    Agreed! No question!

Notably, she catches mistakes made by testers all the time. In fact, I joke that every time I talk about DS7's scores with Dottie, she finds 5 more points for him! wink
