Just a quick update. Based on the WPPSI-IV testing we asked for a mild acceleration (from the 3s room to the 4s room - a few months ahead of schedule). It's still early days but it seems very promising. DS wants to go to school and seems to have made a ton of friends very quickly. He seems to fit in so much better with a group of kids that are slightly older.
