I'm looking for resources for kids who enjoy very rapid and intense intellectual stimulation.

Of particular interest to my own DS8 were Vi Hart's math videos:

These are passionate, fast-paced and full of thought-provoking material.

    What's the best you've seen?

    We love Vi Hart!

I must say, DD is currently reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and when I picked it up and started rereading it myself, I remembered why I loved it so and also was struck by what a fun book it is for young, goofy, curious minds. I mean, not exactly educational, but in a way yes.

Look for the Connections BBC TV series it makes some interesting jumps from concept to concept in that snappy chain of consciousness sort of way.
