Hi,
We are planning to relocate to the Bay area in the upcoming summer, due to the relocation we have been reading about Gifted and Talented youth programs in the Bay area.

We are the proud parents of a 16 years old daughter, she is bilingual, beautiful and academically talented. She has qualified and is an active member of talented youth programs such as Kinesis (http://kinesispr.org/) and John Hopkins CTY. Although, she is academically advanced, she is very sensitive emotionally. Like many parents we are very concerned about current high school social related issues such as bullying and social acceptance at many schools.

While she has taken summer university courses in Nuclear Science, and Logic, our daughter has expressed her interest in pursuing performing and visual arts (with a focus in singing, and painting, and photography)

With the above understanding, could you please provide us with guidance on high schools (Public and Charter) or alternative high schools programs for talented youth in the Bay area (preferably in the South Bay and the Peninsula)? Our goal is to foster her academic talents, minimize the exposure to unacceptable high school issues (ex: bullying, et al), while we continue to work with her emotional sensitivity.

Regards,
Ralph
