    us states compared with other jurisdictions

    Sadly, I expect that Washington will do its damnedest to close the gaps between states - by choking off MA and VT.

    I am being sarcastic - MA and VT are doing too well so I fully expect the govt (Washington) to do its damnedest to close the achievement gap by hobbling the outliers that are doing best.
