    So, after a poor showing on the CogAt, I just got a permission for further testing for gifted eval. Not sure exactly what they will use, since the highest score she had was 88% and it requires 99% or 96% plus high score on motivation and creativity. Don't have much faith in the motivation and creativity tools--my dd13 who had a subsequent successful skip scored poorly on those. Don't know if the further testing is because the teacher thinks it is warranted, or the principal thinks I really do know my kid, or they just decided to do it to shut me up, lol. I imagine we are still going to be doing private testing but it will be interesting to see some additional data.

    You know, usually when someone does something to shut me up, it turns out I was right and the process yields something valuable.

    If something is important, don't shut up...
