We went with the 10 people...binary one, the lazy people one, the secret language of the universe one, and a Heinlein quote from "Time Enough for Love" ("Anyone who can't cope with math is not fully human. At best, he is a tolerable subhuman who has learned to wear shoes, bathe, and not make messes in the house."). Should give them something to think about, anyway. This is for 8th grade math, BTW.
