To answer your questions.
1. We are using a private tester who specializes in gifted children. The school has not yet been involved.
2. The IQ testing was over two days...4.5 hours and she provided a break every hour. The achievement testing occurred two weeks later and concluded after 1.5 hours. He also had a break.
UPDATE: she administered a phonics assessment. He says it was super easy. She said he did good. We meet in a week to review everything and her recommendations.
It seems something is going on processing wise but guess we need to be patient to figure it out!
