My 2nd grader thinks she's bad at math, mostly because that's the one area where she's "on grade level" instead of being 3-5 grades ahead. She's definitely a visual-spatial learner, so I'm hoping that we can work with her this summer and get her to like math, or at least stop hating it. Does anyone have a good resource for doing math with a V/S kid? Thanks!!

I'd look at the Art of Problem solving. Their Beast Academy set is really neat ( http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Store/beastacademy.php? )

and it gets into the ideas behind things rather than details and repetitions.
