Any suggestions? My kid's only 4, but I'm having a hard time finding things that are good. The preschool games tend to be a bit too basic, but the next level up is too hard (requiring reading, for example, or having the math facts memorized).

I do already have Minecraft and I'm letting him play around with that a little. It's pretty challenging at this age, but he can kinda get the basics and enjoys doing what he can. He's seen some videos on YouTube, so he knows what you can eventually do with it.

I don't usually buy games, but Amazon just gave out the 500 coins for kindle owners, so that's what's prompted my current search.

My DD is 4. She really enjoys Temple Run, Flow Free, and Draw a Stickman Epic. The stickman game is super fun for kids and adults. I played that one myself smile There is enough for a 4 yo to do yet still challenging for grown ups.

Do you have Amazon Prime? If you do, they offer a subscription for $2.99/ month for Kindle (if you have Kindle) called Free Time and it's loaded with books and games for kids. Our boys love it!

And both my hubby's and my phones have Where's my water, Where's Perry, and Angry birds on them. I am not pleased with having angry birds on as I see it making DS4.9 angry at times but I just had to give in a little while ago. DS3.2 loves Starfall android application for reading and all the games the older one likes. I am considering getting Minecraft with the free coins we got :))

ok, just realized you DO have Kindle since you got the coins so why not try the $2.99 / month subscription?

Thanks! We are already on Free Time and love that. We limit DS to an hour a day and that is a much better time-minder than I was before we got it. I was also happy that I didn't just jump into the game buying with my coins because two of the games that were high on my list were available through it.

I just recently went through and cleaned things up. The thing I don't like about Free Time is that DS can download anything he wants from their approved things. So he'd go through and just select everything, which made the carousel somewhat cumbersome and you couldn't really find everything.

Hubby's strict about the games and wanted me to delete the "junk games". We do have Mindcraft and he's figuring that out. I'm just not exactly compelled by anything....
