At our request, our public school performed a comprehensive evaluation of DS7.

His WISC-IV and WJ-III scores qualify him for DYS and we have someone who will provide a letter of recommendation.

My question is whether it's appropriate to submit a complete psychoeducational report for DYS consideration. DYS requests a "complete report" for IQ and achievement testing, but these test results are embedded in a larger report that covers NEPSY-II, BASC-2 and behavior assessments, along with summary opinions provided by the school psychologist who isn't experienced with EG and PG kids.

The full report is more than they need and I'm concerned the extra noise might reduce his chances for acceptance.

Can you get a second report that just has the actual achievement and IQ tests? My son's report (WJiii cognitive) came with a written evaluation plus the data printout from the computer showing scores, GE, AE, percentile etc. I would take that to be a full report - the written evaluation is really just putting it into laymans terms.

Our neuropsych was willing to write out an abbreviated report for us that only includes ability and achievement testing. I don't know if you can ask for that from the school district, but I'd at least try. Whether or not you use it for DYS, you might want it at a later point in time for another program.

    Polarbear and Puffin:

Thanks. We've requested separate reports from the school for WISC-IV and WJ-III.

I agree that these may be useful in the future as standalone reports.
