    There really isn't much that can be said about that is there? File the complaint and be glad home schooling is a option. By the way if he were still in public school would they make him repeat a grade if he got 82%? I would expect at least half the class to have to repeat in that case.

    I'm fuming on your behalf. Your son is fortunate to have such a strong advocate in you. I'm also glad to hear your enthusiasm re: homeschooling.

    cc6 - That sounds horrible. Can you ask for another teacher? Can you get independent testing to possibly override the teachers opinion on his giftedness?
