I also don't really take notes, or not very good ones. I would be that person in work meetings with three lines on the page while everybody elese dutifully scribbled pages.
Actually, this is what my notes look like. Taking notes for me is something like navigating the roads... I don't need to know every landmark and address, I only need signposts at the right locations. Taking a note plants a signpost on that particular neural highway, so I can follow it again later.
The worst notes in history were the ones I took in class at boot camp, where sleep deprivation turned them into toddler's scrawls. That's where I learned that I don't need to review notes for the note-taking process to have been helpful, because reviewing those was never even an option.
