I'm brand new to these boards and hope for some advice from experienced parents. 8yo DD was tested by her public school using the WISC iv. The results I have are:
VCI: 99.7
PRI: 99.6
GAI: "beyond 99.9"
DD is very happy at school and has lots of friends, though none seem to be entirely her "type" as she puts it. She's never complained about being bored and the teachers so far seem to support any special projects and zany ideas she comes up with. Next year her public school offers a French program - over 60% of the day will be taught in French, which she doesn't currently speak. We were planning to go this route before we got her results. Now we're considering moving her to a gifted program at another school. We are so conflicted and not sure what to do. She's happy where she is but maybe she could be even happier... ? Any insight would be much appreciated!
