I feel like I haven't seen her post in several weeks. Does anyone know if everything is okay with her?
Srry Gabalyn - thanks for looking for me - I've been forgetting to log in lately. I still eat, drink, and breath giftedness 24/7, but now that my son has been out of the house for 2.5 years, I'm more likely to think how about how it affects adults than kids.
So here's the 'Holiday letter'
DS16 is just amazing, on an athletic team at school, taking 3 AP classes as a Junior in High School, 96% average, loving his agemate buddies and appreciating all of his classmates in their own ways. He recently double dated to his school's prom. He's thinking about college, SAT, and has applied to a few summer programs.
I'm hanging out on College Confidential, taking a 2 year online Meditation class, sitting still to meditate 20 minutes every morning - fairly consistently, working my day job, and trying to be useful through SchoolSuccessSolutions.com, and leading a monthly local meditation group at our public library. Flylady is still a mentor, as is David Allen's GTD book. As DH would say 'Still doing 100 things.'
I have a new friend, she's in her 80s, which is an new and interesting thing for me. I recommend her book for adults and teens who like mature themes:
The Kingdom where Nobody Dies The Kingdom where Nobody Dies by Audrey Borenstein
I would be very grateful to anyone who reads it or wants to have an Online bookclub about it.
Life is seeming very fragile but very beautiful these days.
