One of my friends gave us a Highlights magazine that her 12 year old has outgrown. DD3 loved it, especially the hidden picture puzzle. So I did some research and got a 12-month subscription to High Five- the magazine version for 3-6 yo. I am wondering if there are other magazines that you might be able to recommend that are fun for a very visual, artistic kid that loves math and silly science experiments. She does not read yet even though she can spell and write. Thanks.

Toy catalogs- toys to grow on, & fatbrain toys, Lego jr. magazine, and Disney Family Fun, and, yes, nat geo little kids, and wild animal babies. My kids like mail too much.

You may want to preview the national geographic ones; the ones we saw had lots of ads.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
aquinas, I did get the Nat Geo for Little Kids subscription as DH and I love NatGeo and it would be cool for DD to get her own copy.
DeeDee, the Ask magazine looks great- something I know DD will enjoy as her favorite bedtime hobby is asking questions ("Mom, I cannot go to sleep right now because I have three questions I want to ask you").
LaTexican, I might get the Disney Family fun as DD is totally into Disney. Her last two birthdays have been Disney-themed. PS. We are taking her to Disney World this winter.
